2012
Fourth season in GP2, this time with Caterham Racing. Scores two wins and six podiums on his way to sixth overall. Also serves as Caterham's F1 reserve and makes free practice appearances at six Grands Prix.

2011
Finishes third in GP2 Asia and follows that up with fifth overall in the main GP2 Series with five podiums.

2010
Another season in GP2 yields four podium finishes.

2009
Moves into GP2 with iSport and wins three races in his debut season, finishing seventh in the points.

2008
Wins the renamed Formula Renault 3.5 Series with five wins along the way. Tests for Renault's F1 team.

2007
Moves into World Series by Renault, finishing sixth in the drivers' championship. Has his first Formula One tests for both Super Aguri and Spyker.

2006
A third successive season in the Formula Three Euro Series finally yields a win and four podiums. He also finishes second at the prestigious F3 Masters Event at Zandvoort in his homeland.

2005
Second season in the Formula Three Euro Series is almost identical to first – finishes ninth in the final points standings with two podiums.

2004
Steps up to Formula Three Euro Series and has a decent debut season, finishing ninth in the points with two podiums.

2003
Having won Dutch and world karting titles, moves into single-seater racing, competing in the Dutch Formula Renault 2.0 championship (where he finishes fourth overall) and the Formula Renault Euro Series (in which he's sixth overall).
